This Mason & Hamlin AA was manufactured in Haverhill, Massachusetts in 2013. Only 2 companies are still making grand pianos in the USA, and they are M&H and Steinway. The 6’4” AA model is known for being very balanced from bass to treble and many prefer it over the larger BB model. Mason & Hamlins are known for a wide tail design allowing for longer soundboard area, a full-perimeter plate, an extremely thick & heavy maple rim, a solid spruce soundboard, a seven-ply quarter-sawn maple pinblock, and the potential tension-resonator crown reflection system. Pianobuyer.com states that this model commonly sells new in the $70,000 range. This particular one has a very warm and round tone and is regulated & voiced to perfection.
